Alright here is the deal. The ipad recognizes this card reader as being made by a company that is not apple. So it will tell you something to the effect of ‘device not recognized’ don’t be fooled. Plug it in, close out the message that it isn’t recognized, then go to your photos and under your photos there will be a new tab or folder that shows the pictures that are on the card reader. Also make sure that the switch on the side is selected for the card reader not the usb…

I bought the reader as i needed a way to download my camera pics while traveling. I contemplated to buy the Apple card reader but was limited to SD cards alone. I found the Sharkk 5 in 1 and ordered, first of all I thought hell the price cannot be beaten and even if it is a dud, better that a $30 dud, but it is working great! I have a Sony digital camera that uses a Memory Stick Duo Pro card and then also a Nikon D70 that will be using the USB. tested both and both worked like a charm. I recommend to any iPad user out there!

PS I have an iPad 3(New IPAD) and have not tested on iPad 1 or iPad 2. If I get an opportunity I will update the posting. Will have to confirm using larger than 2GB memory cards as well but do not see that it would pose a problem.

    Do highly recommend
